Current uses
has long been noted for its efficacy in lung troubles and coughs. Teas, lozenges and syrups made from its wooly leaves and white flowering tops are still largely used as expectorants and tonics. It acts excellently as an expectorant and colds, bronchitis, and other respiratory problems respond well to it.
For children's coughs and croup, it may be given in the form of syrup, and is a most useful medicine for children for that and for stomach problems.
It has quite a pleasant taste .
