Uses
Traditional Chinese Medicine generally uses Polygala tenuifoliais interchangeably with Polygala sibirica and Polygala senega (Snakeroot). It is also used as an expectorant and has been used so in western herbal medicine.
It is also acknowleged as having a soothing action that reduces nervousness, distress or irritation. (refer also to statements below)
